- DAAD Research Ambassadors are highly qualified academicians from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. They mentor and inspire students and faculty to consider Germany as a partner for their further education and research

- DAAD Young Ambassadors are students who had gone to Germany for a research stay/internship or a degree programme. They volunteered to inspire their peers to aim for Germany. The programme selects about 30 candidates from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka each year

- The first NeFo (NetzwerkForum) for colleagues working at DAAD Information Centres (ICs) in India and the region was organised in 2010. It has now become an annual activity
