Want to do PhD in Germany? Wondering how to write a PhD proposal? The DAAD offers workshops for aspirant who intend to pursue their doctorate in Germany! The first PPWW Week is coming up in April 2023!

PhD Proposal Writing Workshop Week

is being offered as follows

  • 5 April – Biology
  • 6 April – Social Science

PPWW workshops for aspirants in various subject fields are offered throughout the year. Stay tuned – subscribe to DAAD News Update.

When & where?

The sessions will take place online. The timings and links will be shared closer to the date.

Who can apply?

  • Students of  relevant subject fields who have completed or are pursuing Masters or MPhil

It is recommended that you complete the ‘How to apply for a PhD in Germany – online course’ offered free of cost by Research in Germany. Registration for the course is open and the course takes 6-9 hours to complete. ( It will introduce you to the research landscape of Germany and will help you pick the suitable institution for your PhD.

How to apply?

Application will be completely online.
You are requested to fill up the application form and upload the  documents that include the following as one pdf document

  1. an updated CV
  2. abstract of research proposal and
  3. if you have completed the course, then the completion certificate of ‘How to apply for a PhD in Germany – online course
