DAAD Visit to Bangladesh 2022
The institutes visited were University of Dhaka, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), North South University, BRAC University, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University Mymensingh and Khulna University. The DAAD appreciates and is grateful for the involvement and support of all the universities involved.
The focus of the DAAD visits was interaction with deans and faculty members and offering information sessions about higher education in Germany and DAAD scholarships for students. Team DAAD conducting the visits consisted of Md Mahmudul Hasan Suman, Regional Officer – Bangladesh and Aditi Gosavi, Senior Advisor, DAAD Regional Office, New Delhi.
The visit was concluded with a DAAD alumni get-together at the residence of the German Ambassador Achim Tröster.
The rapid tour through Bangladesh was conceptualised as an opportunity to reconnect with the academia and Germany alumni in Bangladesh after the Covid spell.
